Bodycount Release Date Announced

KEBLAM-O!

It would appear that 2 September, 2011 is a popular date this week, as that is when Codemasters’ upcoming first-person shooter, Bodycount, will be releasing in European territories.  A North American release date of 30 August, 2011 has also been announced.

As the press release itself says, the whole point of Bodycount is to the put “the fun back into the gun”, and the game promises to deliver “outrageous and stylish gunfights”.  Bodycount thankfully looks to differ somewhat from your standard FPS experience and players must “battle class-based enemies who work together to chase the player down as they hunt the mysterious ‘Target’, a relentlessly evil enemy who manipulates world events under the cover of civil warzones”.  Otherwise, as the trailer above shows, the game is packed with mountains of explosions and destructible environments.  This could be epic.

Can you say ouch?

Bodycount will also feature online co-operative and competitive game modes and is coming to both Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
