Xenoblade Chronicles EU Release Date Announced

…and No More News for NA Wii Owners Unfortunately

Good news for all you European Wii owners in need of a meaty title to sink their hardcore teeth into, Xenoblade Chronicles, the rather stunning J-RPG from acclaimed developer Monolith Soft, will be coming to the continent on 2 September, 2011.

The game has been out for some time in Japan, but localisation efforts have obviously slowed the release in other territories (you have to take into account the five different languages that the game must be translated into). The game has received a full English voice translation too, although players are also given the option to experience the game in the original Japanese language with subtitles.

As made obvious by the image above, a limited edition of Xenoblade Chronicles will be available, and it includes a red Classic Controller Pro.

The news comes just days after the commencement of “Operation Rainfall”, a campaign with the aim of securing a release of the game (as well as The Last Story and Pandora’s Tower) in North American territories. In recent weeks, many Wii owners have voiced much concern over the rather sparse line-up for Wii over the next year or so.

  1. Epic! However, since I neither live in Europe nor own a Wii, this will not be for me.
