PopCap’s Charity Auction Enters Final ‘Wave’

We Righteous Gamers

PopCap, world-renowned developers of casual game bestsellers like Plants vs. Zombies, Bejeweled, and Peggle, have today announced that the final ‘wave’ of their charity auction is now underway. The event provides fans of the highly compelling lunch-break games a unique opportunity to secure themed goodies in the knowledge that 100% of the proceeds will go towards helping sick and disabled younglings via the Starlight Foundation in the USA and SpecialEffect in the UK.

So, what’s on offer?

Well, for those with a penchant for exploding precious metals, there’s a Bejeweled 3 ceramic lemonade set and a painting of the game’s introduction screen; PopCap fans leaning towards the undead/botanical side of things are able to purchase sketches of various scenes from Plants vs. Zombies; should the game have inspired a wave of unceasing night-terrors, then a zombie-themed light box could be yours to keep you panic-free at bedtime. If you’re feeling particularly entitled, there’s even an option for you to buy a personalised sketch of your favourite PopCap characters.

The ultimate piece – and undoubtedly the most grizzly – is a one-of-a-kind artwork by famed Irish artist, Mick Minogue. Going by the name of ‘Bjorn’, it depicts Peggle‘s unicorn in a rather unfortunate state. Well, see for yourself:

So, be a spiffing fellow and make your way to PopCap’s eBay auction by clicking here. All bids start at $1. Time is running out, though! Make sure to throw your pennies in their direction before 8pm Western European Time on 16 July.
