Here We Go Again

Today, Capcom has issued a press release containing footage and screenshots of two games from its widely-acclaimed Resident Evil series. Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil CODE: Veronica X are Capcom’s latest titles to get an HD remake.

The games will be released on XBL and PSN for 1600 Microsoft Points or €19.99/£15.99/$19.99 on the PlayStation Store. Resident Evil 4 will hit the digital markets on 20 September for XBL and a day later for PSN. The game will include all the bonus content in the original game, as well as the “Separate Ways” epilogue. Resident Evil CODE: Veronica X will come out the week after, on 27 September for XBL and 28 September for PSN. However, if you cannot wait until September and want to indulge in some screenshots and videos, check them out below.

  1. I personally have enjoyed just about all RE games, and Code: Veronica X is one of my favorites, easy! But I’m not sure why an HD version is necessary. RE4 looked great already, and even the PS2 graphics for Veronica weren’t “bad”. I will not be downloading them again; I got no problem digging out the original copies, they work just as well.

  2. I thought they were getting a disc release and not a download. Oh well, I’ll probably at least get RE4, especially if it has Move support. I don’t have the Move, but I would get one for RE4.
